Worst Web Site Ever?
I'm sure Brian Nelson is a fine businessman, and he's probably a leader in
the party tent business. But I'm pretty sure this is the
worst business web site
I've ever
seen.
In all fairness though, he does provide a warning:
DON'T TRY THIS TENT, CANOPY & AWNING PAGE ALONE! If this is
giant website is confusing just call me. 713-467-3025.
There is really no excuse for a site like that. There are thousands of high
school or college students who would gladly accept the job of fixing up that
site for a small fee -- or even free, just for the experience.

My eyes actually have extreme pain in them. Not sure if I can even view the rest

May I just express how sad I am that I live in the same metro area as the perp
of this website?
Toad, I think he went to the Jim Kloss School Of Web Design.

Gawdamighty! That was tough! I'd like to read the submissions to the love /hate
part.
To be fair, He does ask for advice. Did you give him any, John?

Holy fires in hell, batman, is "Brian" an egomaniac or does he just love himself
that much?
Hardly the worst: go look at
http://www.cargolaw.com/. It's a close race...
It could be intentionally bad. I've never heard of the guy and I went and spent
some time looking at his site because you're talking about how bad it is.

Truly awful. And he has over 2000 meta keywords on every sub-page that I had the
patience to count. (Pages which I found without having to "call for site
navigation."

Gee, what a surprise. He used FrontPage. As TimS pointed out, he's got billions
of meta tags, which will almost certainly guarantee he won't be listed high on
any search engine.

I disagree. While usually true this defies all logic or planning. In this case,
nothing would have been better.

Hi Folks, I see you have been talking about me. I searched out this site because
I had a lot of hits showing up in my stats. I wondered how in the world I could
get so many from one site. Thanks to J-WALK bLOG we now have a new definition
for WWW . It now really stands for Worlds Worst WEb. ie.www.PartyTentCity.com at
least J-Walk said " I'm sure Brian Nelson is a fine businessman, and he's
probably a leader in the party tent business."
That is a true statement. We sell canopy tent kits for tents from 10x10 to
60x60. They are all modular. Never rent again.
Sorry folks. but the site is homemade using Front Page. If you think this is bad
you should have seen it 2 years ago. It was so large I went over my band width
big time and after many months of that they charged me big time. So I regrouped
and compressed the site. Today I am moving it to another Server
www.HobbyGroup.com Jerry
Hobby is Brilliant with computers and helps me out of a lot of trouble. He
agrees it could use a make over but that is too complex for my simple mind. In
any event I get more hits than he does. I keep adding to it. If you go to my
site you will see the AdWords. This is a big experiment to see what business I
lose to my competitors. You might find a better tent company. Try it. Do you
have any experience with AdWords? We do ship to a lot of repeat customers all
around the world. If you know what I can move from my home page
www.PartyTentCity.com
and put it else where let me know. Hey, you should consider my backyard movie
screen or my golf driving range shade shelter. When you critique my site send me
yours so it will be fair game. I love to evaluate websites. Most are designed
for arstistic pleasure. Mine is designed for SEO. I welcome your response. I am
going to expand my blogging program but it will take me a while. Brian Nelson

J
. Walk Blog. This is Brian Nelson of
www.PartyTentCity.com
In reference to your statement on " http://j-walkblog.com/blog/comments/D14072_0_1_0_C/
. "There is really no excuse for a site like that. There are thousands of high
school or college students who would gladly accept the job of fixing up that
site for a small fee -- or even free, just for the experience." Hey that is a
good idea. If I can get 3 or more makeovers by the end of June, 2004 I will
select the winner. The winner will get $100 in cash or Pay Pal. I will buy a new
domain name for it. Then I will post it on its own domain. We will do a survey
with consumers and see what they like. Then we will know what is good and what
is bad. I will give the designer full credit on the page itself and on
www.PartyTentCity.com
Far out. What do you think. I will even give you the $100 to hold if you
want.
Brian Nelson, homemade webdesigner for
www.PartyTentCity.com
Good idea, Brian. But you can't trust me to hold $100 cash. No tellin' what I'd
do with that kind of money.
